FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Herbert Fox Productions & Prevail PR present 3 fashion photography projects by Rocio Segura: ‘From Pinky’, ‘Plastic Fantastic’ and ‘Candy Love’
THE EXHIBITION:
Hot on the heels of her hugely successful solo debut at Umbrella Arts Gallery in April, Spanish photographer Rocio Segura presents a brand new exhibition this Friday, June 8th atop the XVI Rooftop Lounge. From 10pm onwards, Segura will exhibit part of three colorful projects: ‘From Pinky’, ‘Plastic Fantastic’ and ‘Candy Love’.
As the name suggests, ‘From Pinky’ is a selection of beautiful portraits themed around the vivid color. The photographs capture perfectly Segura’s signature dream-like style with an edge of melancholy. As she explains, “I wanted to capture an air of innocence combined with inner darkness and turmoil – almost a Lolita a la 21st Century”

Featuring stunning British model and actress Tolula Adeyemi, Segura gently pokes fun at the excesses of Western societies in a way that is simultaneously light-hearted and thought-provoking. In her words, “I want to let the images speak for themselves and encourage viewers to come up with their own interpretations”

Segura states that she wanted to “keep things fun and cheerful”, and the photographs are as saccharine and sweet as the delicious confectioneries contained therein.
