Herbert Fox Productions presents Rocio Segura’s fashion photography exhibition: ‘Feline’

THE EXHIBITION

This Friday at 9pm atop the glamorous Empire Hotel, Herbert Fox Productions presents an unmissable evening of high fashion and art: the ‘Top of the World Rooftop Runway Show’, featuring fashion photography by Rocio Segura and a private viewing of the latest collections from Jypsea Leathergoods and Born Again Vintage.
Following the success of her critically acclaimed exhibition earlier this month at XVI Lounge, Segura has been invited to present a selection of new works as part of her fashion photography project ‘Feline’. In contrast to her renowned colorful and subversive style, the photographer will show six striking black and white images reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour combined with contemporary iconography and photographer Irvin Penn – a modern day take on the alluring look of 1920’s starlets.
On the project, Segura explains: I wanted to take things back to basics and shoot photos that simply bring out the stunning, almost otherworldly beauty of their subjects”. The result is a collection of sultry, sensual portraits that are bound to catch the viewer’s eye – and their imagination, taking them on an escape to an ever-glamorous past.

Join us on the EAST TERRACE (NEW LOCATION) of the Empire Hotel Rooftop as we present a private viewing of the latest collections from Jypsea Leathergoods (http://www.Jypsea.com/) and Born Again Vintage (http://www.b-artise.com/).
We also welcome back Spanish Photographer, Rocio Segura (https://rociosegura.com/) for a solo photography exhibition.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Rocio Segura graduated with a Master of Professional Studies in Digital Photography from the School of Visual Arts in 2011, prior to which she was a student at Madrid’s prestigious San Pablo CEU University.
She has held numerous group and solo exhibitions in countries as diverse as the U.S., UK Italy and her native Spain. Her New York debut solo exhibition occurred in April 2012 at Umbrella Arts Gallery in the Lower East Side, and this “Feline” is now her 3rd solo photography show in NYC this 2012.
More recently, Segura photographed and art directed Carolina Herrera, Samsung and Aquarius’ ‘The Future of your Brand’ project featuring a slew of young & talented creatives.
Segura’s work has also been featured in a range of publications including Vice, AV Spain, DOUX, Inked…
